From Castles to the Caribbean...
November 6, 2023
We spent the first couple of days walking around Kissimmee in search of alligators and other critters, but unfortunately, we did not succeed in our search. We also visited a Walmart and a Target. I know, including that in a post might not be super exciting, but we seriously took one-stop-shop stores for granted. The US has SO much selection compared to anywhere in Europe, and everything is in our native language. It was a trip being back!
Alan took Halloween off so that we could spend the day at the Magic Kingdom, which was super fun, and seeing everyone in costume made it even more enjoyable. On Friday, we went to the Animal Kingdom, our favorite of the parks due to its great theming.
I have to give a shout-out to the new Pandora land. It is AMAZING; I seriously don’t even know how they created such a masterpiece! It was amazing during the day, in line, and at night because everything was luminescent and interacted with you. For real, I’m considering landscaping my future yard like that. We spent an hour joking and chatting about how we’d make our own. 😂
Because we got to the park an hour early, we managed to get on both Pandora rides, which were also great. Our favorite was the Expedition Everest ride. It started raining, so there was zero line, and we rode it again and again!
On Saturday, we went to Epcot. The Frozen and Nemo rides were pretty cool, but ehhhh… I’d save the money if you’re ever considering it! We ended up leaving a bit early after riding every ride to head home and pack up for an early flight.
Now, we’re back in the Caribbean, but this time we’re exploring a new country – Barbados! I’ll be sure to give an update on it when we explore more. For now, we’re cherishing the relaxing time because we’ll be here for a month and finally don’t have to be on the go every waking moment of the day. The internet here is great too! 🙂
