The Most Perfect Day...

Yup, the day right after graduation, we got married!
We planned a small ceremony on our favorite beach with our immediate family and a few friends that could make it. And we could not have asked for a more perfect day! We got to get married in our favorite place in the world, surrounded by our families, in a simple ceremony.
The weather was absolutely perfect. There were so many plumerias (my fav flower!) that the air smelled just like them. Our officiant, musician, and crew put on an absolutely beautiful ceremony complete with a Hawaiian blessing, music, a conch shell blowing, and a lei exchange.
And after a bit of stumbling and laughing through our vows (which we definitely did not practice because we planned this entire thing in 6 weeks… during finals – do not recommend hahaha!) We got to say our “I Do’s” and make it official! We’re now husband and wife!
After the ceremony we all went down to Waikiki and set up at our favorite beach park, relaxed, and ordered Indian food from Ubereats and had it delivered there for a picnic! There we got to watch the sunset and just enjoy the beauty of Hawaii together!
When we first discussed our plans, we knew that Hawaii held a special place in our hearts and that’s where we wanted to tie the knot. Since most of our family would already be in Hawaii for the graduation ceremony, we floated the idea of getting married that same week. Our families almost immediately bought tickets, making everything a reality. I was like: “wow, this is happening!”
Despite our wedding being so last minute, it was so special, and the day went perfectly.
We wanted the focus of the day to be on the love we share for each other – and that’s exactly what our wedding day turned out to be. 🙂
